Understand local models, provider APIs and KIVI.
Choose where processing runs
Local tools process media on your computer and require the appropriate models and runtime. Performance depends on hardware. Cloud models send the required inputs to your configured provider. KIVI uses a configured browser bridge.
Configure a connection
Enter the service URL, model identifier and credentials in Settings. Enable the models you want in node menus. Some tools have separate connection lists; generation and repainting may use different selections. Never include API keys in projects, screenshots or support reports.
Parameters and costs
Aspect ratios, quantities, durations and reference limits vary by model. Follow the configured capabilities and submission validation. Provider fees and account quotas are managed by the provider; installing the application does not grant those credits.
Missing models
Some local tools prompt for a first-use download. Confirm availability after downloading. If it fails, check disk space, networking and the runtime. Different models are not automatically interchangeable.
